COMMISSIONS:
Your commissions are processed automatically once your account setup is complete. We pay a commission on collected premiums for anyone referred through your Broker Portal, Widget, Referral Link and even our Certificate Manager. You must be a licensed property & casualty producer to receive commissions.
We want our producers to feel valued and appreciated. As an active Thimble producer, you will receive a commission for every policy purchased by a client you refer.
There are different requirements and factors considered when issuing a commission. Thimble has different partnerships, so for details about commission rates, please reach out to brokerprogram@thimble.com.
We will either pay you directly via ACH, or through the wholesaler partner you signed up with!
WHO IS THE BROKER OF RECORD?
While Thimble is the broker of record on all policies issued, producers who refer a customer will continue to make a commission on any policy the customer buys.
You have the ability to:
--Quote and bind a policy
--Extend a policy
--Updating billing information
--Increase/decrease coverage limits
--Add Additional Insureds
--Cancel the policy (via portal same day or by sending a signed LPR to us)
As a producer, you’ll also be copied on all transactional communications from Thimble, including upcoming cancellations, renewal notices, and more.
E&O COVERAGE FOR THIMBLE POLICIES:
Products sold by Thimble are covered by Thimble’s errors & omissions insurance policy.
However, our terms and conditions state that producers that participate in our Thimble Broker Program are required to carry the following:
--Cyber Insurance
--Professional Liability
Both insurance coverages must have a minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence limit.
See the full Terms of the Thimble Broker Program here.Did you know? Thimble is currently paying brokers a commission for clients that later come back and purchase a separate policy from us on their own!* In other words, Thimble will still pay you a commission regardless of how that client comes back and purchases a Thimble product. The client is currently tied to your producer account based on the e-mail address they used to purchase the original policy, so when they use the same e-mail address, you can earn a commission.
*This benefit is subject to change.
